I've returned to the darkside

Thread Starter
Just pulled the trigger on an i5 combo at microcenter today. I had been eyeing up their deals for weeks waiting for something a lil extra to go down and then they dropped their i5 price an extra 20 bux so I snagged it. For years I have run amd builds mostly for their bang for the buck, but now I have decided its time to aim higher as my needs have grown a bit.

CPU http://www.microcenter.com/product/388577/Core_i5_3570K_34GHz_LGA_1155_Processor

MOBO http://www.microcenter.com/product/393422/P8Z77-V_LK_LGA_1155_Z77_ATX_Intel_Motherboard

RAM http://www.microcenter.com/product/382101/Ballistix_Sport_8GB_DDR3-1600_(PC3-12800)_CL9_Dual_Channel_Desktop_Memory_Kit_(Two_4GB_Memory_Modules)

They had corsair xms3 ram cheaper, but the last 2 pairs of corsair have gone out on me as well as every ocz I have ownd, so I turned to Crucial. I have a 2x1gb ddr2 tracer that has been kicking longer than any of my other computer parts. Always works. I was going to preemptively buy the Samsung wonder ram even though i didnt have a mobo/cpu yet, but it sold out too quickly.

I had never been to MC before, it was the most computer parts I had ever seen in one place. Now I see how they make money, I almost bought like 8 other things, as well as a hot blonde chick packing out printer ink.

I have had my sig rig for 3 years now, it still runs as good as the day I got it, but I kinda need more horsepower. My gpu will suffice for now, as I mostly play WoW. If anyone is interested in any of sig rig parts hit me up I might part with it but not sure yet.

I didnt have a lot of time to play with it today, by the time I got it set up I had to run to work frown.gif I also had to fix taht stupid cpu fan error. Is the stock i5 hsf supposed to be so loud. Might have to put the xiggy on it...

Now I just need a BF SSD deal and I'll be set for now....
