So i bought an Razer Taipan which comes with the new Cloud based storage Synapse 2.0 configurator.
You cannot use the mouse configurator offline....or can you?
Just follow these simple steps to use the configurator on a offline pc.
Synapse2.0 must be installed to the offline pc
step1: Copy the Synapse folder located in C:/Programdata/Razer (Hidden folder so make sure you made hidden folders visible) to an USB stick or the like.(this contains the Configurator, Profiles etc.)
step2: Copy the Razer folder located in C:/users/username/AppData/Local (also Hidden) to your USB stick or the like. (this contains the login information)
step3:Now place/overwrite these folders in the same place on the pc that is offline, and you should be able to login with the account and password you used to register.
step4: run the 3 installers: Razer_Common_Config_v2.04.08.exe, Razer_Common_Driver_v1.11.00.exe and Razer_Taipan_Config_v1.06.00.exe
in the C:/Programdata/Razer/Synapse/ProductUpdates/Downloads folder you just copied to the OFFLINE pc
(replace the last with .exe of the device you own, as i own a taipan its the taipan configurator, so for another device its another file, for example Razer_Whatever_Config_v1.06.00.exe)
step5: Login and have fun tweaking
(i cannot verify YET that transferring settings work as my laptop says Please Connect Synapse 2.0 enabled device
)
But its a start... So if anyone can verify that it works OR knows how to fix the " Please Connect Synapse 2.0 enabled device" part, please post it in this thread.
EDIT: i can verify that the settings will work, and fixed the " Please Connect Synapse 2.0 enabled device" error,
following the instructions in step4
the file described in step2 enable you to login on a offline PC
This was tested on Windows 7 pc/laptop, i dont know if it works on xp or windows 8 so please post your findings.
