I've had a white MacBook (revision 3,1) from late 2007, used every day and still going strong, so their quality is very high. I've also had an iPod touch from around then that still works great and an iPod video from even earlier that still works.
Now, I'm not an Apple supporter as such, I run many Windows rigs and predominantly use Linux now. I'm just saying in my experience they make quality products and in the long run are probably worth the money

I do wonder how they get their Chinese labor parts to last a bit longer. If only they wouldn't muck things up with locking it down I'd actually buy their stuff. Well...maybe.
