Should I got with 24' or 27'?

Thread Starter
I can't decide if 27' isn't "too big", I'm mainly gaming, browsing internet and watching films. Currently I have 21,5' and it's about to die. Monitor will be used arounh 8 hours a day, will be ISP and I don't want it to be tank in power consumption way.

I've got a 23 inch monitor and I think that is fairly big.

Here's a rough estimate of a 27 inch:

That doesn't include the bevel.

I would say get a 24" 1080p or 27" 1440p, whichever fits your budget best, but absolutely not a television as the user above suggested.

Oh, cool. Could you possibly try to paint 21.5' in there? I was worried about the 27' being kind of television but it looks okay. Will check them in some store if they have them.

I'm planing to buy 55 or 60 TV in future, depends on new technology (if) and cost smile.gif This would also eat a lot of power while being used as monitor and would probably require expensive HDMI cable to get it's best out of it.

No, just NO. A $5 HDMI cable will give you the same image as a $500 cable. The picture will always be rubbish when using a 60inch TV as a monitor as it is only 1920x1080 pixels over such a large area. A 27 inch 1440p or a 30inch monitor will give you a far better quality picture for use on a PC than a TV will.

Don't get me wrong TV's are fine for watching video but for general PC use they do not excel.
