Windows 8 Upgrade Question?

I'm about to buy the $15 upgrade thing, but is this like one time use and you are done?
I want to load it on an extra HDD to first see if i like it, then if i do like it i would load it on my main boot drive SSD.... So my question is, is this a one time use and you are done? Or can you reuse the key on the same PC as a new install?

Well if its anything like any other windows, If you are to reinstall with the same machine that is legal. You just have to call and tell them and they will give you either a new key or some number to enter to activate it....

you can dual boot if you want http://howto.cnet.com/8301-11310_39-57511894-285/how-to-dual-boot-windows-7-with-windows-8/ there may be updated verision on how to do this but here is a starter

Well yea, that's an option. but i don't want to fill up my SSD with 2 windows installs.

I was wondering the same thing. I currently have a RC VM that I have been using to mess with things. Added Start8 and like the OS a lot. It's really time for me to do a fresh install, so I figured I could move to Windows 8. But, wanted to install it on a spare HDD first to see if most things will work properly.

I just need to know if i would be able to use the key twice on the same machine... but so far i can't find an answer.

I honestly expect it to be fine, but can't say 100% for sure since they changed their activation system. I would most likely have to call the automated service and to get and authorization key.

It's not an issue, I installed it three times (each time on a different partition), each time it activated without issue.
