No SATA drives...Help!

Thread Starter
I was in the process of OCing my processor and after I hit a wall (seems to be about 2750mhz) I rebooted to find that the BIOS no longer can see my SATA drives. I reset everything back to stock, and I still can't get them back. I even reset the CMOS to be sure. Any ideas on what happened or how I can get them back? Please don't tell me I blew out my SATA ports or my drives!

Did you try one of the other 3 ports? Did you make sure it's firmly connected to both the motherboard and PSU?Did you check the boot order?

if you had the PCI clock set to mirror the FSB, then you may have damaged something

It's locked by default on the Ultra-D

It came back after some time. Dunno what the problem was still...

I had 2 drives in the 1 and 2 ports. They disappeared. Tried them both in the 3 and 4 port and got nothing. Switched them back, still nothing. Unplugged the whole system for about 10 min and ate some lunch. Came back and re-plugged them back into the 1 and 2 ports. Works fine now, although it hesitates about 2 secs before jumping to the Windows loading screen now, but no probs other than that.

Weird? I think so
