Which processor suits my needs more? - Page 3

i also think the a10 would be a good choice its pretty good for the money and more than enough for most things , and for the psu i would go with something like a corsair builder 430 v2 , its a little more that u need but its always good to have wiggle room. and u can get them pretty cheap i got one for my mom a few weeks ago at newegg for like $20 after rebate.

Unfortunately Intel uses the HD2500 in almost everything below the i5 3570K, besides the i3 3225. I'm just not real fond of the price of the i3 3225, it seems over priced to me.
Have you considered the CPU + discrete GPU route. For example, you could get a Pentium G860 for 70 and HD7750 for 105. Just throwing ideas out there, as this would give you still good enough CPU performance but a much faster video card. You could even go really cheap with the Celeron G540 for 45 and HD6670 GDDR5 for 83. Then with LGA1155 you are open for upgrades to a quad-core CPU in the future. Personally, in my HTPC I have a Celeron G540 and Asus HD7750 that do awesome for the money.

Some photoshop and corel draw.

I know , only the i5 3570k and the 3225 have the hd 4000 graphics... I am not that sure about a dedicated gpu, I think an integraded is better for this build biggrin.gif (he won't game at all)

Trinity isn't an option for him since he doesn't have it available in his country. If he did I'd say get a sweet A10-5800K or A10-5700 FM2 APU and be done with it.

The Llano APUs still offer 35-55% better graphics performance than Intel HD4000, and for a lower price. Go with the AMD A8-3870K thumb.gif

amd apu all the way. if the trinity isnt available yet just wait it out a bit or find somewhere that will ship for a fair price. FM2 is going to be around for a while and pairs of 1866 memory are cheap. it will serve your dad well.
