Help a rookie create a loop! - Page 3

So it's settled!
Little Devil V8 (still trying to find a US based retailer for one if anyone knows one), EK covers for GPU's and CPU, no mobo cooling (the gpu's do block it), scythe GT fans (found a great deal for the 1800rpm ones for 15 bucks each), XSPC or EK rads.

Will probably do a black/grey/red theme.

Should be ordering all this within a few weeks, or whenever I find a retailer that has the LD in either all black or black with grey interior.]

Thanks to all for the input!

Sounds like a good spec. Also, if they'll fit, it's worth looking at the thick Alphacool Monsta rads, they are low FPI and therefore quiet, and have excellent performance due to the thickness.

Ok, so here is the final layout.
After asking around, apperently the mobo slots for cooling go just above the gpu, so this will be done as well.

Spoke to LD, he said he would ship to the US directly for not a whole lot more than what he normally charges, so that case is ordered and pending arrival.

Loop order:
Res -> Pump 1 (hdd bay) ->480 Rad (bottom right) -> 480 Rad (bottom left) -> Pump 2 (below PSU) ->Mobo 1 (tubes ran behind panel) -> CPU -> Mobo 2 -> 480 Rab (top) -> GPU's -> tubes ran under panel and back to the Res.

What kind of fitting will I need to get the tubing under the panel and keep it looking nice and tidy coming back out?

Will 2 pumps be enough for this and should I position them somewhere else in the loop?

All 3 rads will be in a P/P configuration, the bottom rads will just have to feed one trough the other, but there will be 2 sets of fans between them.

Any additional suggestions?

Will be ordering all this gear within the week once everything is fully thought about and I will post a build log.

Should work fine. One thing to think about is that you only want to jump-start pump1 in this configuration when filling, since you will not be able to get water to pump2 before it turns on and you can't run them dry. Most people bridge the pwr-on lines on the ATX connector to start their PSU with the system off when filling/bleeding, so if that's what you're going to do, you will need to ensure you always remember to unplug the power to pump2 when doing that to fill.

You can use 90 degree elbows to bring the tubing behind the panel then back out again, depending on space available behind the motherboard tray you might also be able to use 90 degree panel mount fittings of some kind.

Right, I got all the pump stuff figured out. I mostly meant the fittings going trough the holes in the case. I don't want to just pull the tubing trough and it seems like all of the fittings I am finding are made to be screwed in on one end and then accept a hose on the other. Am I missing something here?
I will probably just use regular fittings for the most part so I can get nice curves into the hoses, but I would want a few 90 degree ones for where I am tucking it behind the case panels.

Also, as much as I want to use the Scythe GT's, the grey I hate and painting them can turn into a hassle, specially since were talking about close to 30 fans here...
Would I see much of a temp difference if I went with all, lets say Cooler Master Sickle Flow's?

Those are sp's.... I suppose I could...

SP120's it is with the 140's in the 2 front bays (not WC related).
Anyway, this leaves me with 115mm in width to split between 2 rads, and this is with both of them being p/p.
Now if I run just 1 row of fans between the 2 rads, this opens me up to 140.
Is there any real gains/let downs by not using full p/p between both rads or will it not make much of a difference?

What rads do you guys suggest (under 57mm thickness)?
The Black Ice GTX would fit, the old school EK's would fit (not the new series as they are 60mm sadly) or I could do a Alphacool NexXxoS XT45.

For fittings, you need to look at panel mount and bulkhead fittings.

You can get bulkheads like these: http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/customer/Bulkhead--Pass-Through-Fittings-cid-1853.html

So they range from say two back-to-back compression fittings, two back to back barbs, a barb to a compression fittings, just a plain thread-to-thread so you then screw on other fittings etc.

or you can use panel mount QDCs like this: http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/customer/Koolance-QDC-High-Flow-No-Spill-Shutoff-Male-Panel-Barb-for-12-ID-13mm-Tubing--VL3N-M13B-P-pid-13013.html which do the same thing but are detachable without spilling. The link is to a barbed one, but they are also available with compressions.

I wouldn't worry too much about push-pull on low fpi rads, it's more useful for densely packed, noisy rads which can make use of the performance due to their much higher resistance to airflow. On low FPI rads, you'll probably not gain anything at all (other than noise) by using two sets of fans, and that especially goes for thin rads like you're going to have to use. In fact, performance will probably be better using single-side fans in your case because you'll be able to use slightly thicker rads.

And finalized, went over budget but I will fix that!

The image is missing like 150 bucks worth of stuff (coolant, screws, splinters for fans, etc)
I figured I can sell the Cosmos II for 250-300 locally to make up for me going over.
