this is only true for custom loops with large amounts of rad (comparatively to the heat it must disipate)... in your case, theer would be no noise difference... i would recomend the same fans no matter what way you go

Closed loops aren't really any quieter than good air cooling and sometimes they're louder. You have to remember that air cooling only has noise generated from air moving across the fan blades and through the radiator while closed loops have that and pump noise. Some pumps are quiet, but some aren't. If silence is your goal, check out the Thermalright HR-02 Macho or True Spirit 140 or NZXT Havik 140. If you're set on a closed loop, grab the Thermaltake Water 2.0 Pro Newegg has on Shellshocker today.

My Mega cooler with Nf-s12b flx And i could not hear it. But gpu fan was a lot louder so i up graded that to water On 480 then sli 480 then single 580.
sound is on my system if alot lower, but the gt 1850 are loud for me I want to get a fan controller but I don't want to mess up look of my case.
