Can you give us an idea of what you can afford, or a link to a website / store you can purchase things from without high shipping costs?

Look at the technical pro hpt990, also know as the tak star 2050. Under 50 bucks and they sound great. They are also pretty comfortable too.

Given your limited selection, and higher prices, I'd suggest either getting a Sennheiser HD201 and cutting your losses or save up for the AKG I linked earlier.

Personally, I'd save up because the HD201 isn't really that great. The AKG is a lot more durable and comfortable (and of course has better audio)

what do you say about those 2/3 models?:

AKG K240MKII
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0016MNBAM

Audio Technica ATHM50
http://www.amazon.com/Technica-ATHM50-Studio-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B000ULAP4U
(there is also ATHM50*S*- http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATHM50S-Professional-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B004ZG9TMA
is there any big difference between the two?)

or should i take what you prefered?

p.s. if you can, please write if an amplifier is needed on each model, and which do you suggest.

thanks a lot. biggrin.gif, xpboy7.

The AKG 240 needs an amp to sound good (but will run okay without). It's the same as the normal AKG 240 except it comes with some extra goodies like velour earpads and a spare cable.

M50's are also a good buy but have a different signature then the 240's. Those two models are the same except one has a straight cable and the other is a cord.

The M50s are great but, IMO, aren't as comfortable for long sessions. The AKG 240 is a more comfortable design.

Based on US prices, I had assumed the 240mk2 was out of your price range (they're more expensive here than the originals here in the US).

Perhaps you could also search for the Audio Technica ART series. anything with the number 700 or higher has good audio, and the series is the most comfortable I've ever worn. anything with a "D" denotes that the cans are open (no "D" means closed), and an "X" means it's the updated model (no real significant changes AFAIK other than looks on the 700s, but the 900x is a lot better than the original 900). I didn't bother mentioning them earlier because of their US pricing, but maybe its cheaper there. thumb.gif
