Apples approach with the release of the Ipad Mini was different than usual. They brought up competitors and I think that was a mistake on their part. People went out, looked at competitors and realized that you could get a better product for much less money.

I did not and do not twist anything. How is it inferior? I've said before that the iPhone 5 has a better quality but smaller display and that's true. Whether you prefer what the 5's display offers (sRGB coverage, higher subpixel density) over the larger display on the S3 is subjective.

And no there is nothing nice about the Ipad mini. Only thing I liked on the ipad was the screen.

Unfortunately the ipad mini doesn't have a good screen.
Yes there is. And yes it does have a good screen, but only a decent pixel density.

According to Apple it's 35% larger than the display on a 7 inch tablet. It's the height that is nearly the same, the width is much more.

The facts are:

kindle fire HD screen: 1280x800

iPad Mini screen: 1024x768

The minimum resolution for HD qualification is 1280x720, so the Kindle Fire HD has an HD display (HD ready, as it is commonly called, versus Full HD 1080p) and the iPad Mini doesn't. Screen size here is not the only thing counting towards pixel density.

Having said that, each device has its qualities. But I won't comment on either because I'm not very familiar with either.
No it doesn't have an HD display. The Kindle Fire HD does have a higher pixel density, but not necessarily a better quality display.

They both have ups and downs but I would definitively consider the Kindle HD before i'd consider the iPad Mini because of the overall specs and I would highly consider price difference.

Erm.. IPS vs IPS.

It does not matter if they're e-IPS, whatever.

IPS with higher res, less glare > IPS with lower res, more glare

I'm not talking about IPS, I'm talking about colour accuracy and/or other things. Why does the Kindle Fire HD have less glare than the iPad Mini?
