Question about P5W DH Deluxe compatibility with kentsfield

Thread Starter
When P5W DH Deluxe says it "Support Intel next generation Mulit-Core CPU", does it imply kentsfield? I'm just trying to get a mobo in my area which can support kentsfield so after maybe 1 year of kentsfield release (so... end of 2007), all i have to do is swap CPU and bang im back on the 2nd row again.

"If" you do get one, remember that there's a possibility that the MoBo may not support a Quad right out of the box.

So, either you'll have to get a Pentium processor or C2D or a flash drive, with either one of those options you'll be able to update the BIOS to ones that will support a Quad.

When I bought my P5B it didn't support a C2D and I had just sold my last LGA processor, so no CPU to ugrade BIOS with....then I RTFM and found out that you can actually use a flash drive to update the BIOS.
