google needs to make some moves now to get to work on an operating system that is in the x86 realm.

Apple has done literally nothing in the software space. Aside from Siri and some cloud stuff the newest iPad is running an OS that's nearly identical to the one that shipped on the original iPhone. Everything else has come from 3rd party developers.

There is officially multitasking as well. I think it's only in iOS 5 and above.

Nexus 10 > Nexus 7 because of the better hardware and one other thing I liked that I cant quite remember...But I understand some users dont like 10" and that is perfectly fine.
If you read the original post into the Verge's post, it explains why there isn't LTE.
Quote:
Unfortunately for Google, the Nexus 4's most defining technological feature — at least for the moment — may be more about what it doesn't have than what it does. That is, it lacks LTE, which here in the US makes it a step behind other phones in its class. How can this be a rival to the iPhone 5 when it's using last generation's networks? It's a complicated issue which Rubin was eager to talk about.

"We certainly have a desire to offer devices on every carrier on the planet," he told me. "The tactical issue is GSM vs. LTE. A lot of the networks that have deployed LTE haven't scaled completely yet — they're hybrid networks. They'll do their old thing and they'll do LTE, which means the devices need both radios built into them."

But there's more. It's not just a technical issue for Google. I can hear it in the way Rubin talks about the landscape of the wireless industry.

"For now we're gonna sit back and watch those networks evolve. Two radios in a device right now certainly raises the cost, and diminishes battery life." This point seems to frustrate him. "When we did the Galaxy Nexus with LTE we had to do just that, and it just wasn't a great user experience. It's possible to do it right, but that's not where we'll put our resources initially. Tactically, we want to make sure the devices are available for every network on the planet."

The sentiment makes some sense. The global subscriber base of LTE users is still tiny, even with a massive uptick in the US over the past year.

And honestly Galaxy Nexus on VZW wasn't a complete Nexus device by any means. Updates were not directly from Google and had to be approved by VZW, VZW also put their logo on the back and included controversial bloat of VZW apps.

Nexus devices are Google's flagship devices. Flagship is the one standing out, and since Nexus 4 is the latest out of the oven. It is the flagship mobile phone for Android/Google. Nexus 10 being the flagship tablet for Android/Google. There is no doubt about that.

Unnecessarily high resolution, no slot for SD cards, can't take the battery out. Sounds like Apple products.

Pretty much this.

If this EXACT phone was sold as an iPhone (with iOS obviously), everyone on OCN would hate it because it doesn't have a removable battery, no microSD slot, etc. However since it's an Android phone, it's totally cool.

apple invented the lack of sd cards and the non-removable battery? What's next? A smaller ipad?

Yeah, on paper they are pretty much the same, just like on paper a Range Rover and Ferrari are pretty much the same. And I was talking about the new ones that were just released. And they are "on paper" pretty much the same as Apple products. Look at the post directly above yours, now look at the one directly below yours. You can't deny the reaction would be the exact the opposite if they were sold as Apple products. I have also said in numerous threads to you that the "rectangle argument" is stupid. I personally would never use it, and in fact I have never seen an Apple fanboy use it before. The only people I have seen use it are Android sheep and people who hate Apple.

I never said Apple invented anything, or that Google are copying them.
