Overview:
I've been a fan of the SG05 builds for quite some time although never really had the cash. I'm currently doing staged build versions to get me where I'd like to be.

Machine Name:
Z77ITX120.V1

Specs:
i7-2600(-k)
Stock CPU cooler
8GB DDR3 1333
ASUS P8Z77-Deluxe
PNY Nvidia GTX 670
Thermaltake 650W PSU
1x 120GB Corsair Force 3 + 2x Seagate 1TB Barracuda RAID0 (Intel Smart Response)

Pics: (stock image)

Commentary:
The CM Adv 120 is a superb case for those who would like to migrate from an ATX to ITX form factor since it accepts an ATX PSU, 3.5" HDDs, Full size CD ROM and plenty of room for desktop length cables. The overall build quality is excellent in exception to bearing noise of the included 80MM Cooler Master side fan You just can't beat $50 for the specs. I upgraded from a GTX 470 to GTX 670 for performance, power and noise reasons and couldn't be happier with it.

TBD Build Revision:
Z77ITXSG05.V1

Specs:
i5-2500k
ASUS P8Z77-Deluxe
PNY Nvidia GTX 670
Corsair H70
8GB DDR3 1600
SG05-300W
2x 1TB 2.5" 7200RPM HGST
1x 120GB Corsair Force 3 SSD (cache)

See the new build log

Commentary
The 3570K/2500K would be more of a sidegrade in the cost/performance depot and it's better to wait for Haswell but I'll never forget Arma OA performance on a 2500K @ 5.0GHZ. The SG05 is a great case but yet again price/performance yields space saved per dollar isn't that high.

Machine Name:
Z77.mATX.TJ08E.V1

Specs:
Intel G530
Corsair H70
8GB DDR3 1333
MSI Z77MA-G45
EVGA Nvidia GTX 470
LEPA 500W PSU
4x Seagate 1TB HDD
Silverstone TJ08E

Pics: (stock image)

Commentary:
This NAS build is a new Intel G530 + leftover parts. I'm currently running FreeNAS but plan on moving to OpenMediaVault due to featureset. I plan on running typical NAS services, Transmission, Mediatomb and Virtualbox. The GTX 470 was a leftover from the GTX 670 upgrade which may be used for Folding@home or other GPU processing tasks. I plan on running a firewall appliance that is TBD with squid cache/proxy and antivirus w/ Virtualbox. Backups may consist of Crashplan or another offsite backup solution that is TBD.

I don't mean to jump on your thread or anything, but going by amazon prices:

$125 FS - SG05 + ST45SF
$ 64 FS - ST45SF
$ 50 FS - CM120

That would put an ( SG05 - ST45SF ) at around $61,
meaning you would save about $10 with the CM 120 if you used an equivalent PSU.
( Granted, you can use a CX 430 V2 and save another $ 20, but I'm just trying to be unfair )
IMO, the SG05 offers pretty fantastic value, and the 300W versions can be had for even less.

Really loving the sound of all of your builds though!
Best of luck.
Looking forward to pictures.

My decisions were based on personal circumstances and the parts available at the time. I would've loved to get a SG05-450 but it was $61 more as I had a spare PSU and wouldn't of met my storage requirements. If I was starting from scratch I would of went with a SG05, thank you for the observation.

I see that you have a CM 120 and an H70. I want to put these two together, by removing the CM 120 HDD cage and putting the H70 there... do you know if the H70 tubes are long enough to reach the front of the CM 120 case?

It *should* be long enough:

I did some research on the matter and I personally couldn't justify loosing the hddbays in the 120 and having the extra room inside per overall size. I could of mounted my pump 180 degrees to get extra room and the tubes may of flexed better in retrospect.
