Hey everyone, I'm looking to build a pc for the following purpose only:

  • Run multiple security cameras (around 20) on a dual screen for long durations

Build so far (will continue updating as suggestions are given)

CPU: AMD A8-5600K 3.6GHz Quad-Core Processor

Storage: 128GB SSD Samsung 830

Get an A8 or an A10 AMD APU and you won't need a dedicated GPU and you can save more money.

That motherboard is not compatible with an A10 processor. You need an FM2 motherboard (970 chipset motherboards like you have listed are AM3+).

Could easily done with a 300/400w PSU assuming no discrete card in the future. Not sure you where you are buying from, but could get a lower wattage PSU for cheaper.

Tigerdirect.com and microcenter.com tend to have pretty good prices as well. If you have microcenter nearby, you should try picking up the processor and motherboard there as you can usually get a cheap enough mobo for free there.

Awesome, thanks a lot. Used most of the parts listed. I just don't like the case, when choosing my own are there any compatibility issues I have to watch for?
