One last question - Are there any potential issues with monitor compatibility? (forgive my ignorance)

With a microATX mobo as long as you get a microATX case or a regular ATX case you should be fine.
And no there should be no monitor incompatibilities.

Cool
Logisys CS2008XBK Can't tell if this an "ATX" case. Incompatible?
Edit: Nvm it is a mid ATX tower.

Just as a forewarning, that Logysis cabinet doesn't have any dust filters like the Core 1000.
Considering the possible environments that this build might be in, I thought this would be a meaningful feature.
Also,
Provided that your motherboard is a microATX one,
you might want to choose a smaller case.
There will be a lot of wasted space in that Logysis cabinet.
It's for these reasons that I usually suggest the Core 1000, but if you dislike the aesthetics, I don't know if you'll be able to find an mATX case with Dust-Filters and a good fan for cheaper.

Another thing to pay attention to for the case is cable management. Good cable management makes your life a lot easier.

Opting to go for the Source 210 now, as recommended in another thread, thanks.
I imagine this network adapter should be ok since its USB - but will I have any problems with it for my build? Here

The problem with those cheap USB Wi-Fi cards and PCI-E Wi-Fi cards with short stick antennas is that they get horrible reception (due to bad placement at the back of the case), and generally can only connect via the overpopulated 2.4GHz band (which is also used in microwaves and cordless phones, among many other things). If they have a newer high end Wi-Fi router or access point that is dual band with both 2.4GHz and 5GHz support then I would get a Wi-Fi card that works with the less populated 5GHz band. Either way I'd get a higher quality card that has a better antenna design.Originally Posted by Haris75Â

I've had first hand experience with some pretty bad Wi-Fi cards. My sig rig is in my bedroom and my Wi-Fi router is in the living room. I finally ponied up and got a good Wi-Fi card and have been very happy with it so far. I ended up getting the Intel Centrino 6205 Desktop card which is $33.99 shipped at MacMall (Newegg also sells it but it's $4 more). It has a long antenna that has a double stick tape pad that can be put on a wall, back of a monitor, or wherever it's out of site and get's the best reception. It supports both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz band. If their router or access point doesn't support 5GHz then you can get the slightly cheaper Intel Centrino 2200 Desktop card which is similar but with only 2.4GHz support, it's $25.99 shipped at Newegg. At least that's my 2 cents when it comes to wireless. If you skimp you might be sorry you did.
