[SOLVED]Okay.. I dual booted Windows 7 and 8, now I jsut want 8

Okay... I bought 8 because it was only $15. I decided to create a partition and install 8 alongside 7, which worked perfectly. However, my problems really start when I try to just use 8 and get rid of 7.

I moved files over, blah blah. For some reason now, I can't delete Windows 7 partition without my boot getting messed up. At this point I have deleted quite a few 7 files so it doesn't even boot, but not the point. I just want 8. I wanted to take my 7 partition and give it to 8, but I can't without problems occuring. I can't even resize my partitions via the Computer management interface.

When I click Windows 8 partition, I can't mark it as my primary, 7 partition is still marked as primary. I just don't know what to do to fix this... I have had such good luck with teh partitioning utility in teh past.

Any help would be very much appreaciated.

Edit: I have managed to shrink 7 partition. For some reason can't extend 8 over the free space though.

I eventually just decided to reinsatll 8. I know all my data was safe and decided to install on the old 7 partition. Unfortunately, because I had overwritten teh USB flash drive, I had to redownload the installer, and I done that in the computer lab because they are hella fast download. It put a 32 bit install on it thought, probably because it detected 32 bit.

SO... another reinstall. Going to back up all my data on a friends external hard drive, delete all partitions on my internal drive, and install and put the data back.

Solved. A windowsU representative had a installer on flash drive so i didn't have to download it again.
