Received the shims today... max temp 60C now. Still not fantastic, but 10C better which is decent!

Scratch that, down to 53-54C max now after tightening the screws some more biggrin.gif
I used the 0.5mm thickness shim thumb.gif

That's around what i'm getting with the layering. Mine's overclocked to 1175/3105 so naturally it's gonna run slightly higher.

I'm at 1280/3328, looks like we are about the same now
