Theron vs DeathAdder

Thread Starter
I've used the DeathAdder 3.5G in the past and I loved it since I use palm grip. However, the new Razer Synapse is horrible to say the least. I play Dota and COD mostly and you can imagine how annoying it must be for me when the mouse gets disconnected. I know this is not the mouse or the USB's fault because I've had friends who faced the same problems.
How does the Theron fare against the DeathAdder? Is it a good mouse for palm grip? Also, how does the tracking compare to that of the DeathAdder's? Lastly, is it true that the DPI settings for the Theron is not completely customisable?
P.S. I will not buy a Sensei.

Why not use the older Deathadder drivers? They are avaliable on the Razer website.

Are you sure it's going to stop the disconnects?

Disconnects are almost always due to a fault in the usb cable. Personally I would suggest you get another deathadder if you were happy with it.

If not there are only a bunch of mice that can live to it's tracking quality. Logitech G400, CM Spawn, Zowie EC1/2 Evo and that's about it.

Synapse was complete rubbish when I used it, I didnt get disconnects but I could notice some input lag while using it. Where you and your friend using Synapse when these issues arose?

Yes I was. When I first got the mouse, I didn't have synapse and used it without it for a week. Later on when I installed it in order to customise the DPI settings, I got disconnects very often.

yep, synapse is complete crap. and it's a resource hog. just use the older drivers in the archive section. they work perfectly fine with my deathadder in windows 8.

I have a cloth mousepad. Any other suggestions for mice?

This might be stupid but will the older drivers let me customise the DPI settings just like Synapse?

True these Synapse Cloud Stuff is the wrong way to go. Don't like it. Clean real Drivers. That's what we need.
