New 7950- Same drivers, new problems

Got a new gigabyte 7950, using latest drivers (12.8 and 12.10)

Problems- Mafia 2 doesnt work anymore, crysis 2 doesnt work, sleeping dogs doesnt work

borderlands 2 and bfbc2 , skyrim, still work fine.

All games used to work flawlessly with my previous gigabyte 7950. What happened?

I would run driver sweeper maybe give it a try.

Tried that every reinstall.

Problems in Mafia 2 are that the card downclocks to idle after crashing driver.

Reformatted, re-installed windows. ( now windows 8)

Sleeping dogs works for like 5 minutes then stops responding.

Used to have same card except that one had coil whine which is why i had to return it, this one performs well aside from the driver induced issues.
