there any mods to force power state/ or force boost clocks ????

Going to try the mod now thanks for the heads up. I would imagine that the card needs quite a few other mods in order to fly. Lemme know if ya got em. Mainly concerned with some sort of power target mod.

You didn't say in the OP.........set VR to max resistance before soldering on and lower resistance to increase voltage?

Meausre the resistance to ground from the mod point. Once your vr is in place tune back to original resistance

Remove R192 to disable thermal shutdown

Having problems with the vcore mod, did you bench yours mike or just test it??? Im waiting on the right resistor so I did mine with a 1kohm trimmer which only gave me safe control up to about 1.42 then things got sketchy so I left it there. Heres what happend

DId mod, tested for 2 secs to make sure could control voltage and it did
then I hooked up phase to the card and every thing was fine got card to about 1575 only running 3d nature cause cpu was still on air. put voltage back then shut everything down


Hooked up cascade to cpu and ss to gpu and card never got it to boot, vcore was normal but looked like pll and mem phases didnt fire up, thought I either trashed the card or cpu/mobo didnt like pcie 3.0 when cold.


washed card, took mod off and cleaned everything up put cpu back on air and everything was back to normal.

PUt cpu back on cold to double check everything was kosher and it was

put mod back on, no boot again, same thing vcore normal but pll and mem voltages were super low like ocp had triggered, Just took mod off again and everything is fine again.


I have no idea what going on but what I do know is there were no shorts either time the mod was applied.

Would love some input really want to hammer on this card at this point but cant seem to get it right.

I know it sounds like a short but just now to get the card working I cut the wires at the vr not at the solder point so nothing changed on the pcb, is there a way that I pulled two seperate 1kohm vrs out that had a problem?

Oh well next time im going to put a switch on it, maybe it only fires up at a certain resistance.

Also card still throttles at stock even with power target @ 300 was going to short the shunts to see if that worked but the resistance is already @.2 ohms so not sure what to do there either.

what did you use to solder the wire to the capacitor? i damaged my friend video card when i was fixing a H60 on his gtx 670 the last screw wouldn't go now there is a capacitor that is half-soldered to the card and i would like to solder it back but i fear it could be worst if not done properly. Sry for my bad english someone will understand
