Trust TwoCables. He is the best person here for PSU question and what a system needs to power it.

Just as an update, a while back I ended up replacing the Diablotek with a Rosewill Tachyon 750 that I got a smokin' deal on.

Just tonight, I was doing some testing with my Kill-A-Watt, and my computer uses about 50-70 watts less now. It used to sit at low 430s when gaming, and now it barely ever gets above 360 (meaning the PSU is really supplying 330ish). Kind of hard to believe with an overclocked QX9650 and a GTX 580.

Definitely enough room to throw a second 580 in there and bump my CPU overclock a bit! thumb.gif

Thanks again for all the help, guys! biggrin.gif

Oh wow.  Now that's what I call an upgrade!!!  You just went from one extreme to the other!  hehe  I love it.

You have enough power now to have three GTX 680s.  ;)  Two 580s is a cakewalk - it can even be done on a 650W PSU with no problems.

Lol yeah, I figured if I was going to do it, I better do it right!

For the few weeks I used the Diablotek after making this thread, I was nervous using my computer all the time, and I never left it running when I wasn't in the room. redface.gif

I wanted the Capstone series (the ones you recommended), but I couldn't pass up the deal I got on this one. Professional reviews for it were pretty fantastic anyway, so I figured it wasn't a big deal. thumb.gif

Thanks again for the help. Not sure if I +repped you for it yet, so have one now!
