windows 8, windows key disable?

Thread Starter
I upgraded to windows 8. My only problem that most of the keyboards I use don't have the "disable windows key" for when I am gaming. is there any way program or anything that will help me disable this key while gaming?
I know on my ducky there is a switch...on the bottom, but I really don't want to flip over my keyboard every time i go back and forth. Just looking to find out if there is simple solution that I don't know about.
Thanks

This might be useful, you can even download the .REG files

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/disable-caps-lock-key-in-windows-vista/

Should work on Win 8 unless they changed the location of that registry file.

EDIT: Found a Windows 8 link

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/216893

EDIT2: And if you dont like enabling and disabling by registry... you can download this software

i don't want to turn it off permanently. I want to be able to switch back and forth like you can do when you have a "game mode" switch on your keyboard. Does that make sense? ideally i would like to have a widget or program where I can hit "off" game for a bit, then hit "on" when I'm done gaming. If that makes sense. I know how to permanently disable it, but if I can avoid that I will as windows 8 seems to use the windows key ALOT

On the 2nd link I posted, there are two registry files. One enables, one disables. Before you game, just dble click the disable one, then when you are done double click the enable one its that easy.

or go to the 3rd link http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/WKey-Disabler.shtml and download that software. It says it works for Win XP Vista and 7 but I assume it works with 8 aswell
