[KG] Rapidshare reinstates high speed downloads for free users - Page 4

Not sure why we care, rapidshare sucks, I'd rather use Mediafire, Sure it won't max my connection but i won't have to wait 10 years between downloads.

Before 1 July 2010 there was a rewards program that allowed the user to trade "RapidPoints" for a selection of products depending on the number of points the user had collected. On June 18, 2010, RapidShare announced that it would stop this program along with RapidDonations on July 1, 2010, to avoid the impression it rewarded its users for uploading copyrighted material.[7]

I know there a few that still do. I'm not talking about RapidShare in particular. There are some sites that do do it.

Guess I need to stick to the little sites.. they just never last long anymore. Well, I always upload for altruistic shiggles. thumb.gif

I keep reading this bloody thread as "Rapedshare" and keep wanting to report it for some crude sexual offense to the rules.

Thank God they finally took this step. But taking so much time to realize this, doesn't look bright on their part. Rapidshare has dominance in the sharing world. Now with this new strategy, they can increase their traffic!
