Bitfenix Spectre Pro LED fan question

Hello Overclockers,

For a while now, I have been eyeing up the Bitfenix Spectre Pro LED fans to complete my HAF X case. I watched some reviews and all of them have the LEDs on at all times. Then I went to have a look at the specs and pins and whatnot and that when my question arose. How do I keep the fans on at all times without the need for a switch or a fan controller?

Bitfenix provide the 1 pin cable that would normally connect to a FAN LED switch, but I just don't have that. Is there a way to work around this problem, or am I just being a n00b because, just speculating, the fans will power themselves on through the 3 pin - Molex adapter(which I shall use as the power source of choice.

I don't know much about fans so any help on this matter would be invaluable.

Thanks in advance,

KostaCoffee

Unless you had our old Hydra Fan controller (Not Hydra Pro), then keeping LED constantly on while decreasing fan speeds will not be possible.
To keep the LED on, connect it to a 12V connection with the loop in (or a hydra pro fan controller).

Thank you for your help, sadly I won't be getting a fan controller, so I guess I will need to deal with the whole ordeal.thumb.gif
