Lol you didn't even list the Graphic card?
Looks like a cheap 6450 or something
This would have adverse effects on anything higher then a 7770.

EDIT- Now i see the GPU, very old architecture so i was right!

The Furmark score shows that it's a 9500GT running at 550MHz/400MHz and a Pentium Dual Core E5700 @ 3GHz.

OP: Pretty cool mod. I'm glad it worked for you. However, something must be said for NOT trying this on newer/nicer cards. Lower end cards, however, could totally benefit from this. AND, people with lower end cards are typically not looking to spend $100+ on a GPU air cooler or a full water loop. Great looking solution for lower end cards running a lower budget, glad to see you've done something new and original. Overall: good on ya! thumb.gif

Yeah, that's definitely........not for everybody. However, it IS a pretty inventive way of doing things!

I'm glad you shared. This might be useful to someone in a similar scenario. Reducing temps increases lifespan, so you might just help someone keep a computer running longer!

What I would like to see is a more "traditional" solution than using the string. I wonder how the guys doing "The Mod" hold the Kuhlers and the H100's onto their GPU's. I wonder if you could steal ideas from them.
