Interesting, the problem of the Samsung not being available over here still remains though... Which is a shame because I'd love to play around with it. Sometimes I just think 'let's just get some dominator platinum and stop worrying' but then these modules appear to be hard to tweak (and the faster ones are really, really expensive)...

There are alot of kits though that use the same samsung IC's

I dont know of all of the kits that use those IC's.

I believe that the higher clocked g.skill kits use them But I cannot be certain.

Interesting! I'm trying to find out more on this, but it's hard to find information. I'll look into it a bit more.

Thanks for your reply. Do you mean you think any 1600 cas9 kit would be OK (what's the meaning of 'ole') in your opinion?

I've been looking at the Crucial Ballistix Elite, 1866MHz, CL9, 8GB kit as well. Look's good (relatively important to me, don't like flashy things), OK priced, and it's getting some good reviews (although in terms of overclocking I've heard mixed stories). Any thoughts on this kit?

Hey mates

This is my case too...

I was away from the hardware, but in these days, i want give a honey to my old PC...

And i thought in a memory upgrade, maybe can be 12 GB, now currently it have 6 GB, one tripple channel kit from OCZ (3x2GB @ 1600 7-7-7-24) but this awesome kit, is not longer available now...

It would be good idea change this memory kit ?

I saw a PC with 8 GB and less power than mine, ( i5, 2.5 Ghz, 4Gb, HD6630M, 500 GB HDD) with a 4GB memory upgrade, total 8gb, and the change was very good, more speed and stability,

Maybe would be a good upgrade, uh ?
