No, Your CPU will be fine and a 7850 or 7870 will be max out all your games at 1080p. I would go for a 7870 because overclocking them is just crazy, but if you don't have the money then just go for the 7850 because you will be fine running at 1080p smile.gif

I have one, and had it in a system for a few weeks which was definitely a CPU bottleneck for it, but was able to play lots of games at 1080p, settings on max no problem.

Yes it will be CPU bottlenecked, but No for most games the bottleneck won't be enough for you to worry about or contemplate spending money on upgrading the CPU. It all depends on your definition of bottlenecking.

What you want to know, is can you play the games you want at 1080p with this card and your current setup... I think most probably yes.

What games are you planing on playing? That will help us let you know for definite either way!

Cheers,

DB

It should be fine with all of those.

Enjoy!

I definitely recommend this card, it overclocks easy to.

Can you overclock your CPU to 3.8GHZ?

Cheers,

It's a pretty old model an not one of the faster ones but still much better than hdd. Btw 7870 is a great card. Especially the gigabyte OC.
