I tried replying to this on my phone but TapaTalk downright refused to send the post.

Deciding factors I would say are:

S3 has more storage
S3 has a current development community as it's been out a while
S3 has an LTE model (but you've already ruled this one out)
Nexus 4 has a better screen (unless you're a big AMOLED fan)
Nexus 4 gets official updates from Google
Nexus 4 looks better
Nexus 4 is cheaper

It does, but there's not much in it. Both have ~1.5 GHz quad-core CPUs, both have ~4.7-inch screens with ~720p resolutions, both have HSPA+, both have 2100 mAh batteries, and they both run Android Jelly Bean.

I voted S3... im a little biased. I paid $400 flat out and put $200 on a tab, so cost is not an issue

*If* your in US, then the N4 actually is a quad core vs dual core! It does look good on paper... I like the S4 pro, 1MB more L2 cache, 50Mhz faster ram, slightly better GPU...

Something not mentioned yet, the S3 has 50GB dropbox free for two years... I already purchased 100GB dropbox plan, but im already at 110GB (family photos), so its useful for me.

I still trust Samsung over LG for handheld products, there is a reason the LG is so cheap.... (its only partially due to pure Google OS). Samsung camera app actually is handy.

Its not so much the slot itself, but the file system that Microsd uses. Microsoft owns patents for exFAT/FAT, which is what most memory cards are formatted as.

Do you mean IF you're in the US rather than unless? In that case I was just referring to Plooto, who said that he's not going to go on EE here in the UK so he'll be using an HSPA+ phone only.

Ah, I hadn't thought of that, how annoying. Of course the cards could be formatted as something like ext... but then they wouldn't be any good on a Windows PC mad.gif

Ok, I'm going to go with the Nexus 4 because it's new, unless anyone has a good reason to go with the GS3 over the Nexus 4 besides what's been mentioned already.

Okay, I didn't know that. Realistically though, when you're using the phone you'll not notice any significant difference with the same software, that's if you notice a difference at all.
