Yeah it's odd, my HFM logs don't show that I have ever gotten an 8057 work unit, but my FAH logs do.

In fact, I'm tossing 2 of them as we speak.

Also, the whole comment about "Core 2.25" threw me off. The Core is 15, the Version is 2.25.

Awesome, thank you.

Reading it now.

When Full Auto won in August or September with elchucko's PPD we, the Brass Bottom Boys, did not make posts saying it was unfair. Sure it sucked we couldn't match him but, BladeMaster figured out why he was the only one getting those WUs. Our team shared this information but we were disallowed by our editors until recently to share it with everyone.

BladeMaster and I discussed for several days how to get the 8057s. We even had PMs about the GPU bonus before there was a post on OCN about it. He eventually figured it out but I couldn't get the IP address type needed. They have changed their servers and made it so anyone can get these WUs now. There are no secrets or tricks.

I have absolutely no problem helping people to getting these WUs. I have helped the everyone who PMed me asking how I got them or any other question about folding. Some of them get the WUs and others can not. There is some information in here that is incorrect about these WUs but NOTHING that will hurt you in any way from getting them.

Why can we not have a discussion on how everyone can get these and not one on how its unfair?

I do no believe the bonus will stay in their current form, 250k PPD on a 580 is insane. The GPU bonus will be here to stay however. Stanford wants to encourage GPU folders by increasing their PPD since the productivity is similar to that of a SMP client. Read around and do research on how to improve your folding performance.

I'm not saying that it is cheating or anything. I'm just saying that for TC, it seriously skews the numbers.

Yeah, it's all luck of the draw, and anyone can get them, or not get them.

Just like in the beginning of last month, people were wondering how I got such a huge lead on the i7 points. I was just lucky. Eventually, many other i7 folders caught up and eventually passed me.

I was just saying that now several of the nVidia folders are posting points that are 25-50% higher than seriously OC'd i7.

Awww. Here are my stats with a 2600k, PPD worth:

Add my 7850 in and it'll be an extra 4k PPD.

Rawr I hate complaining, but right now I really want a NVIDIA, as I've said before. But if I get a NVIDIA card, then they'll probably fix the PPD in the next week or so lol.

I don't think anyone accused me or any of the other people w/ these WUs of cheating. I just want to see discussion on how to get everyone on these WUs rather then complaining about them.

If corehacking was mandatory in the i7 category, a flag, "client-type" "beta", for a GPU client must be allowed.

Same here. But short of paying $10 a month for a VPN service to remote in to other cities/IP's to get "the good stuff", I don't have any idea how. Hence why I was asking for that post from BlastMaster.

I guess corehacking was before my time on TC, I am running with no additional flags on my i7 rig.
