I've also had a 8054 and didn't realize it used the 2.25 core. But I had read that you don't have to change the core out again as long as the 2.22 is still there. WU's that don't require the 2.25 will go ahead and fold on the 2.22. I just checked my work history and that is absolutely right! I've folded several 8018's and 8057's since the 8054 and they've all folded on the 2.22 core.

You can fold 8054s on 2.22.

my bad....I know there is a unit out there that will not fold on 2.22, guess this is not it

I wonder why the 8054 I had folded on the 2.25 core?

I think in one of the posts after where you read "that you don't have to change the core out again as long as the 2.22 is still there" somebody explained that there were two places where the core is stored, one place for beta and one for regular, and that because the 8018 was assigned from the same beta server as the 8057s that it used the beta core which still had the 2.22 even though the regular core had defaulted to 2.25

I don't know if that's true or even if I'm remembering exactly because I don't do any of the core swapping stuff, so I'm just going off recollection from a casual skim.

Beats me. My PPD's on the 8018's and 8057's haven't changed, so if it ain't broke I'm not gonna' fix it! tongue.gif

Now I'm on a 8045. I've never had one of THESE before either. PPD's suck on them as much as the 8054's. mad.gif

You can switch to the 2.22 core and still fold it, only the p762x WUs require the 2.25 core.

P8054 is a normal WU, so you will have to go one directory up from the beta directory to find the Core_15 folder that has the file that needs to be changed.

Next time you get a p762x, it will automatically switch it back to 2.25.

This most likely. Since theres 2 folders one core may get updated while the other doesnt in the beta folder and the beta WUs will still use 2.22.

Right O. It's at 93% now, but I switched it out for 2.22. Any thoughts on why it may have updated to 2.25?
