I think it would be interesting to see what proportion of these upgrades were from PCs and Tablets

Huh? The mobile side is using Windows 8 RT not Windows 8.
I don't think any of the previous Windows Mobile phones are being upgraded to "Windows 8 RT" at the moment.

They're two separate identities.

Just installed windows 8 on my extra laptop just to check it out.... And its actually growing on me... I'm actually starting to like it.... As I'm getting used to it...

Impressive. I upgraded for the $40 price. To me it was worth it overall.

Not surprised I have been loading it on everything I can find, its the best OS they ever built and it's really fast.

I'm loving Windows 8, after you get used to it it's actually much nicer than Windows 7, the interface is like butter and they added a lot of new features into the explorer.

I bought 4 copies at the $15 a piece upgrade price for myself, one for me and 3 for family members who recently bought laptops that are actually in the upgrade program. I really really like windows 8, and the start screen is actually pretty darn nice and handy once you customize it.

Where do you see this deal of 20$ to upgrade? If it is that low I will grab it... So far I can only get windows 8 pro for 40$ as an upgrade...

the more i hear about windows 8, the more grateful i am that i have a mac...
I'm tempted to upgrade to windows 8, however i'm unsure about it, as i can't find any information on how much RAM the two versions support (i.e. if a lower version will be capped to 16gb like home premium for w7x64 does). I plan on getting 16gb of ram but using my pre-existing 8gb for a total of 24gb so i want to know whether it will be even viable, or if i'll be stuck with a 16gb OS ram limit.
