3570K Golden Chip?

Thread Starter
Hey guys, just built this rig and I was wondering if a 3570K at 4.8ghz with 1.28vc was pretty common or a very good result? Im Prime 95 stable for 14hrs without an error. Not sure how much longer it would go before it finally produced an error but I figure anything more than 6-8hrs is good enough anyway.

Well that is very rare indeed. However, that could still be the limit of the chip. What type of cooling do your have?

Very good chip i believe .... how are your temps ?????

Push it further and see if you could get 4.9-5.0 stable which you will probably could... just to verify it is in fact a golden chip and not with a wall @ 4.8

Temps are low to mid 70's under prime and yeah it will go higher, I dont know what 5ghz needs to be stable but I set the vcore to 1.4vc and it booted right up no problem. Ran P95 for a second or two and shut it down cause of the temps. I would likely need a better cooler for anything more than 1.3vc or maybe my chip needs to be lapped?
