buy a laptop with a Brazos APU in it, i made the mistake and i don't want anyone to get the shaft too..

any Brazos APU belongs in a netbook and not a laptop, regardless of how cheap the laptop is the damn thing even holds back a 3rd class HD6470M

How exactly you feel shafted because I own a Brazos 2.0 version, even though it ain't much of an upgrade from it's predecessor. But it handles my basic tasks such as browsing, streaming and watching 10bit videos just fine.

as you said, basic tasks are fine - as long as you don't over stress the CPU side of the APU - it gets sluggish fast with low - moderate (multitasking), my wife's 4 years old T4400 + nvidia GT220m laptop runs circles around it in both responsiveness and multitasking, sure..the GPU side is great vs Intel's built-in GPUs but who cares when you have a dedicated GPU, anyway, as i see it, the E 450 APU is unbalanced..

also, payed 500$ for it (Turkey), electronics are expensive here, still, had other options (Intel B815 + nvidia GT520M) for about the same price, should have bought it (CPU faster by 50% - 60%, GPU faster by 20% than the dedicated HD6470M i have,

the laptop itself gets hot while gaming, but this could be a design flaw by ASUS ,

in short, the CPU side is a curse thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

Cause of the size and price you paid, I could understand your expectation from it. If you bought it for gaming though, that was indeed a wrong move.
Btw what type of multitasking you do that causes it to act sluggish?

well, the price/performance ratio if you'd like to put it by and i was talking about light gaming as in 2011 games all settings low, even then the -why- in the thread is clear enough..i think..

It's the CPU that's holding you back. I had i5 with hd 6470m and it could play games on low settings with decent FPS.

Light gaming is the least of my concerns, i can live without it but the CPU side of the E-450 is pathetic and shouldn't be on a Laptop for the reasons mentioned above..

You actually made a thread because you didn't do your research and got shafted by your own poor choices?

Yet another useless thread...

Hence why I always say to RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY. >_>
