[NZXT] NZXT Launches the Kraken X40 and X60 280mm AIO CPU Coolers - Page 2

Looks nice.

Won't the size be a little restricting for use in only a couple or cases? Most cases use 120mm width fans.

Still it is again a nice step up in rad size.

Now a x80 with a thicker rad and a x100 with a 360 rad smile.gif

should be the new king of AIO coolers I would imagine, the fin arrangement looks fairly dense too.

I do wonder if the appeal is somewhat limited due to using 140mm instead of 120mm. To maximize I would think you would want to include adapters/spacers to use 120mm moutnpoints

Looks pretty good could find it's way into my new rig, too big of a cheap skate to go with custom cooling.

Looks very interesting, hopefully my NZXT Europe rep can sort me one out for review.

I recently reviewed the CM Eisberg which had the h100 well beaten, I wonder if this this can do the same?

I'm definitely not and fan of the AIO coolers but if this X60 280mm can't put some distance between its self and the top of the line air-coolers it might actually be worth something. As it does use 140mm fans it should at least have a fighting chances against the Silver Arrow in both performance and silence.

It looks to me like they're asetek OEM units, are they the new 4th generation cooling units that I've heard about? And nice to see a 240 rad with those flexible hoses and not corsair tubing that you can barely bend. rolleyes.gif

EDIT; I should sleep, the 4th gen should use 140 and 280 mm rads and a 3 port block. doh.gif

EDIT 2; I really should sleep, these were 140 and 280mm rads.

Anyways, nice to see more units on the market.

Dense fin stack =/= quiet cooler. I'm skeptical it will beat the usual kings of air cooling in that regard.
