[NZXT] NZXT Launches the Kraken X40 and X60 280mm AIO CPU Coolers - Page 18

After you order it, you would create a ticket and provide proof of purchase for a new panel.

I can understand why the kraken x60 is 27mm deep, with it being top of case and all. What I don't get is why the X40 is only 27 mm deep.

kraken x40
Dimension 138.4 x 27.0 x 172.5mm

This is:
25% LESS heat dissipation capability than the antec 920
26% more heat dissipation capability than the antec 620.

(and it looks like the V4 versions of each have the same copper plate as the Kraken)

My plan is to purchase the x60 for top of case. But what I was really hoping for was to have a 140mm rad with more heat dissipation capability that what the x40 has. Considering the 140 size, you guys should have made it at least 39mm deep in order to match the heat dissipation capabilities of an H100.

Are you guys planning on launching a thicker single 140mm rad solution? If not you should seriously consider it.

I chose not to wait for this, just don't think it will fit anyways. I went with one of the nzxt havik 140 coolers just to play it safe.

So wait!!! Now we have to order the x60 first then nzxt will give us the bracket for the switch 810?!!!.. I doubt that.. I sent multiple emails to support regarding the issue.going on almost week 3 with no respond.!! What's going on.? I'm not buying anything else till I get a simple response back from somebody on your side.

The top panels are not available yet, they are still being shipped out to us. And yes, if you buy a Kraken unit, we will ship out a new top panel for you. That's what our PR release stated, that's what will happen.
Unfortunately, we're down a CS rep right now, we're hoping to have that corrected soon.

It stated on your site. If you were a switch 810 owner they will send you the panel..I don't wana buy it and hope I get sent the adapter. I hate haveing hardware I can't use?. And why would anybody want the panel without the cooler..so I don't understand why u won't send it before the cooler ships. Or include it in the package.? That's going to turn off a lot of switch owners wanting the x60..its a deal breaker for me.

Again, the panel is not available right now, it's in the process of being shipped to us from the Manufacturing plant (same as the Kraken). Here is the quoted text from the release.

If you already own a Switch 810 and wish to purchase an NZXT Kraken X60, you may contact NZXT Support (http://nzxt.com/support) for a free replacement

I don't foresee any issues with providing the replacement top panel.

Ok I'm very confused? Do I have to buy the cooler first or do I get the panel cause I own a switch? And I sent several tickets and several emails to pr. I just want a responce that one will be shipped with or before I purchase the cooler.

It clearly states that you have to buy the cooler first. Then you need to provide NZXT with proof of purchase in order for them to ship out the replacement top panel.

Are you guys planning on launching a thicker single 140mm rad solution? If not you should seriously consider it.

You dont go only by the size of the rad. The X40/X60 also has larger tubes, improved cold plate (Not the same as the 620/920), also the FPi (Fins per Inch) of the rad.
A thicker dual rad is harder to place than thin. Due too many cases do not have room to fit. Majority only has room for a 25mm fan + 30mm rad.
The H100 is only 27mm thick rad with 120mm fans. The X60 should perform better than the H100, which allows for greater heat dispersion.

So you know NZXT do not make these. They are made by Asetek.
