GTA IV was mostly a mess and RDR never showed up on PC. I think it would be prudent to not get your hopes up about a PC version of GTA V

3rd. Screw you microsoft never buying another one just to replace a $20 part because you have "keys" on them. biggrin.gif

It will come to pc but after no one else gives a damn. Last gta came out I think 6-12 months after the console counterpart.

It's funny, they have an entire forum dedicated to moding.Their older GTA titles still continue to sell on PC(thanks to the digital distribution platform)yet they still release a broken port for the PC and expect us to pay full 60 dollars for. What's strange about this decision is that Max payne 3 was given extra attention to the PC side, and now they've gone back on their old selves and are acting like they don't care.

It's great that the PC community is filled with great modders. Otherwise, I sure as hell wouldn't be bothered touching their attempt at making a PC game.

Looks like another game I won't be buying. I used to like rock star.

Not surprising, PC has always come second in the GTA franchise, even though that's the platform that made the game what it is today. Just like many other titles...

We just have to be patient. But the fact that they can't even say they are working on a PC version or not, is scary.

Personally i can't see why. They did absolutely great on PC sales with Max Payne 3. The extra attention to detail and concentration on the PC version was brilliant, but why is they are so lame when it comes to the PC? Is it because it got pirated a lot, even though it's a good 16GB (give or take)? I was actually going to buy it for PC over PS3 since i wanted great graphics while being able to just stick in my PS3 controller, use DS3 Tool to emulate a 360 controller and away i go!

Really am dissapointed.

Now that is a true kick in the ass.

Also kind of ironic considering how many on this board hail Rockstar as people who apparently stand up for PC gaming.

I seriously was not expecting them to pull this again though......

I guess we will get the moddable PC version only after all "episodic content" has been on the market for long enough.

God, I remember playing that old GTA and GTA London on one of the first PCs I remember having. So many good memories from that bird's eye view of the city redface.gif

I think MP3 sold below expectation...

They know that PC gamers will buy it but will buy it when it goes on sale- very few will be willing to pay full price for it. They'll release a broken port to PC gamers and they'll expect modders to clean/fix their pathetic attempt at making a PC game. The minute I saw those early screenshots of gta5 being release, I automatically knew the core focus for this game would have been for 360/ps3.

Rockstar havn't stood for PC gaming for some time. Rockstar is on my list of hated devs, simply because they have given PC gamers the cold shoulder for years, especially after the Hot Coffee story.

Shame really, since it was their Windows/MSDOS release of GTA that really shot them to fame.

I for one would still like my copy of Read Dead Redemption for PC, but aint gunna happen - i've stopped caring, same will be for GTA if need be.
