Yes i'm using risers.

Checked the GPU... looks fine.
Checked the RAM... looks fine.

PSU cables..... this is where i'm a litle uncertain. I've got the PSU hooked up to: GPU, Hard Drive, DVD Drive, MOBO, and all the case fans. Should anything else be hooked up?

Gonna try a CMOS reset and if that doesn't work i'll check the CPU.

This happened to my new rig about a year ago now (gone now v.v), but what I did was to put only the absolute basics in it, like 1 HDD, no optical drives, 1 stick of RAM, and I tried a cheapo PCI-E GPU. It sorted itself out (kinda) and worked until I sold it all. Hope I helped marginally

Nope, the DDR wont work in your P5B.. Different number of pins!

I'm not familiar with that board or intel but does it have a four pin connector for the mobo?? i believe it does and do you have that one connected properly??

I've seen this problem a few times. And both times it turned out to be the motherboard holders for the case. Did you line up the holes correctly when you placed the motherboard in the case. I've seen a few people who didn't do this. Their fans started, harddrives, everything, but no beep. After setting up the motherboard outside of the case and sitting it onto the motherboard box. It beeped.

If none of those work, look very close at your cpu. I had this same problem with the board below, and Asus says yes it supports the 3200+ cpu (REV. XXX) Revisions of the same cpu. I had every exact symptoms as you do. Swapped the cpu, issues resolved.

dotcomethese: I have the PSU cable that goes to the MOBO which is a 20 pin and a 4 pin connector. Is that the one you mean?

CrazyHeaven: The holes only line up one way with the MOBO so it should be right. There's 3 holes along the top, 3 along the middle, 3 washers right above the 3 holes along the bottom. I don't see how else it would sit in the case.

Risers. They're called "standoffs".

Anyhow, IMO, I think you should take the CPU out and seat it again. Also, don't apply too much pressure down when installing the HSF.

RAM could be the one other issue. When you say RAM is fine? Did you use one single module at a time? try that, if you haven't.

Check for video card power from the PSU. Monitor hooked to the video card? PSU is actually working properly despite the spinning fans? the fan from the heat-sink plugged to the MoBo? And so on.
