Automatically transfer data when full?

Thread Starter
I am looking to make my computer better for recording games and this is my current idea:

Get 2 SSD's and put them in Raid 0 and have Frap's record to that.
Get a HDD to move all the videos too once I am done.

My question is there anyway to make the SSD's automatically move files to the HDD once its full?

if you are willing to get 2 SSD's get a capture card instead
it will be so much easier and it will keep some load of your PC

I've looked into capture cards. None seem to work that well.

HDDs are ideal for recording. Sequential write operations like that are basically the very best task you can throw at an HDD. (And the worst task you can throw at an SSD - can you imagine recording a few hundred gigabytes per day? Those SSDs will be up around 10TB in a month or two. Probably crap out within a half year to a year.)

If you want flawless recording, look into something like two WD10EZEX drives in RAID-0, and then a large WD 3TB Green/Red for archiving. It probably costs less than your proposed setup, and has fewer reliability concerns. The 3TB drive will max out at about 120-150MB/sec depending on model, so you'd want to store encoded footage on it - but the WD10EZEX's in RAID should be able to manage at least 350MB/sec. That's more than enough for whatever resolution and framerate you throw at them. 1080p only needs about 90MB/sec stable.
