I'm getting "Subscription Update Notification" emails. They are immediate. And it's as soon as someone posts in a thread.

So, it's happening in threads I've created and ones I haven't. It seems to only be in threads I've posted in within the last week.

It's random; it doesn't affect certain threads or certain forums.  Sometimes it's a new subscription, and other times it happens when replying to a subscribed thread.

 

I have noticed that once a thread is loaded, the subscription option next to, "Get notified when others reply?" is sometimes "Immediate" instead of "Site Only (no email)".  This is when the subscription gets set that way and I haven't noticed a pattern yet.  I mean again, it sometimes happens to new subscriptions and it also sometimes happens when replying to existing subscriptions.

 

So the only real way to avoid the "Immediate" setting right now is by paying attention to what the setting is next to "Get notified when others reply?".  For those of you who are not sure of where this is, it's always directly underneath the editor.

I am having this issue as well. I have all subs set to Site Only, and the main one I'm posting in all the time is in Off Topic. It's the One Million Post Thread, so you can see how this could be quite annoying even after only a day, or sometimes hours if the thread is active.

Also, the OMPT is the only subbed thread that is doing this for me.

Two of my subscriptions changed to "Immediate" (email notification) after I posted in them a few days ago. I found them by clicking on the "Frequency" column header twice and have not had any problems since I changed them back to "Site only".

Same problem here. They're randomly getting flicked to immediate, every few days. Annoying as heck. I don't want any notifications to my inbox.

Screenshot of some. I have my subscription setting to always be "site only" when I post in any thread. These randomly just turn into e-mail subscriptions for no reason, even if I don't post in them.
