Played DOTA 2 and was immediately put off by how confusing it was. Decided to download League of Legends to see what all the hype was about concerning the "most played game in the world" and was hooked. It has a decent beginner tutorial that DOTA seems to be serverly lacking. Valve needs to get their stuff together and stop using the "beta" excuse.

dota 2 is highly competetive. I have over 850 hours of gameplay on my steam account and I'm still far from being considered a "great" player. I still have a lot of learning and practicing to do

There's quite a bit of updates. It's the same core game with a few more heroes added, new items, etc. Think all of it done by IceFrog, where it's done with an editorial style rather than the LoL style where you're focusing on adding oodles of new content.

I was expecting more. They could have done so much more with the game but didn't. I have played DOTA 2, HoN, and LoL (and a few smaller no name ones) and to be quite honest they all suck. Sad thing is LoL has the most potential if it would be handed over to a competant dev team. RIOT/Tencent have no idea how to balance and build a game, don't think it has ever gone without any critical bugs. As they they all stand currently LoL is the most enjoyable out of the three.

OT : I might have to check out this content just for the hell of it.

Cool rant telling everyone you're bad.

There's an entire in game wiki and browser with hero guides and skill animation videos. With mana costs, skill ranges, damage and scaling. The practice bot matches are way better programmed than the bots in league that run under tower and let you kill them.

The league tutorial puts you in a single lane scenario when the enemy has 1 base attack damage that you 3 shot, and then you kill the tower in a few hits and its over. If you think that taught you anything then you are delusional. It doesn't even teach you to last hit. You grasped league easier because there is less to grasp and you were looking for an easy game.
