CPU: A10-5800k $120 (NCIX)
MB: ASRock FM2A75M-DGS FM2 $55(Newegg)
RAM: Patriot Viper 3 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1866mhz $47 (Newegg)
Case: Raidmax Reiter ATX-305WBP w/450wPSU $40 (Newegg) (Not the best reviews, mainly because the PSU mobo cable isn't long enough, but I can get an adapter easily for that)
GPU: ASUS Radeon 6670 gddr5 1gb Already own
HDD: Seagate SATA-I 160gb 7200rpm Already own (will use while I'm waiting for a great deal on a SSD)
Total w/discounts and shipping: $235

I think you are on the right path, what is going to slow this down is the HDD that is it.

And OP get rid of that 45$ ram ... get the 33$ ram, and then buy a newer 1 -3tb hdd ... the speed will kick the trash out what you have!

PSU will be more then fine .... just don't expect to get more than 250 watts max pull from it without it starting to overheat and loss any type of reliability ...how do i know? I have tried it LOL, works great ... just trash for cooling! I have to put my AC right next to it lol smile.gif

Heads up, I highly suggest doing combos on these items, as just doing a simple combo on the cpu+mobo will save 10 dollars which can be used somewhere else.

Specifically this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1102114

Also, it'll be cheaper to get some 1600MHz Samsung "wonder" RAM and overclock it; heck you could just set it to 1866MHz with stock voltage an stock timings even and it'd be perfectly stable, let alone using faster timings:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147096

And finally, please Please PLEASE PLEASE ditch that power supply! This SeaSonic-manufactured & Antec branded PSU would be much better:
http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=60491

If you need a case, you can just re-use your current one. Since the mobo in question is micro ATX it's 99.99% guaranteed to fit.

Regarding SSD deals, the 128GB Samsung 830 went for $70 earlier this week and commonly hovers around $90; be sure to keep an eye out! thumb.gif

Thread Starter
Alright, thanks everyone for your input! I have finalized my list sans SSD, here's what I've purchased. Newegg has some really great deals going on right now and I was able to take advantage of discounts on every item I purchased.

CPU+MOBO Combo: AMD A10-5800k + ASRock FM2A75M-DGS $155
Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws 2x4gb 2133mhz DDR3 $35
Case: Rosewill REDBONE U3 Black USB 3.0 $40
PSU: ThermalTake Smart SP-430P $19 after MIR

Total: $249

PS- I know the MOBO is only rated for 1866. Just need to find an SSD now!

Umm... I'm not sure going cheap on your power supply is a good idea... I mean, you want to make sure it doesn't die and/or fry your much more expensive components, no?

EDIT: Hmmm.. well, the PSU does seem to have an active PVC along with Over Current, Over Voltage, Over Power and Short-Circuit protection; heck it even has a 5 year warranty. It would seem that ThermalTake's non-tough power PSUs might not be so crappy anymore. You may be just fine actually.

I'm going to overclock the ram to 2400mhz.
CPU to 4.4ghz
GPU to 1 ghz

250$ upgrade.
AMD memory controllers support up to 2133mhz, and even then, you would get better performance with tighter timings than higher speeds.
That motherboard has a 3+1 power phase design and no heatsinks on the vrms. are you sure you are going to be able to overclock to what you want?
