As for the comment on MSAA making the game look worse I have to strongly disagree, MSAA gets rid of the ugly jaggies without Blurring the scenery the way the Post Processing AA does.
You sure your not confused with the two different methods of AA? because MSAA does nothing to change the scenery except for getting rid of jaggies, it doesnt blur the image but it does make it look a whole lot better.

I have tested the game to hell. 2x FXAA looks best for me at least 2560x1440

I agree with you that the GTX 680 is the most efficient card, but I feel that the difference is so small between the two that it does not justify the price premium. 12.11 also increase the performance by quite a large amount in a lot of popular titles.

The only info i can give is my 7970s (Both week 1 refs) Can do 1350 with some voltage bumping, i wouldn't trade them in for adaptive vsync if ya paid me.

If that is your preference then that is fine and all but it doesnt change the fact that FXAA blurs the image slightly to tone down jaggies while MSAA gets rid of them without compromising image quality.

FXAA-Blurs the image, MSAA does not blur the image and from a quality standpoint offers a better image at of course a larger performance impact.

Certainly, it would be hard for me to recommend a GTX 680 over a HD 7970 right now and if I was to go back to a single card setup it would be with a HD 7970 as long as the multiplayer performance for BF3 with MSAA has been fixed.

Adaptive Vsync is crap and i dont blame you for not wanting to get rid of those cards, freaking awesome clocks man, congrats.

Going to play some more with BF3 next week. 2 x HD 7970 @ 1.2Ghz should handle 2560x1440 MAX so i will see one more time if MSAA looks better. Will take some SS too so see the difference. Yes FXAA introduces Blur but thats why i used 2x not 4x.

Its really nothing to debate bro, one method introduces blur and the other method gets rid of jaggies without introducing blur. Obviously MSAA has the edge image quality wise and im pretty sure anyone else around here would tell you the same. wink.gif Oh and btw 4XMSAA will get rid of a lot more jaggies than 2XFXAA and will look cleaner in the process due to no blur.
