Yes, but the employees have mouths to feed as well...they only do what the higher ups tell them to.
I *know* that OCN claims MegaUpload was legit, but I'm betting millions upon millions of files were illegal forms of movies/tv shows/books, etc. so they deserve to go and stay down. As for the people who want their files, sorry...but you should have chosen a better file host for your "legal" files.
Bravo MPAA! thumb.gif

Seriously.. are you a mouthpiece for these guys or what? This is the 2nd time this week you've made a asanine post like this. I don't know what you could have possibly done to earn the 1 rep, but if I could un-rep... I would.
MPAA looking out for "the good of the country"... are you out of your mind? In what world do you live in... they aren't even looking out for the good of the artists/actors/etc represented in these works. They ONLY care about their money. No one and no thing else matter. Same goes for the RIAA, if not doubly so.
The employees are just 'doing their jobs'... great good for them. Some may believe in their work, others may feel it goes against what they were hired on to do years back. Most in ANY job are afraid to stand up when they are challenged, so the work continues against their better judgement. That does not in ANY way condone it.
I swear... the day you make a completely coherent and actually informed post, I'll rep you myself. I doubt I'll see that though.
You may want to consider changing your screenname too... since you made Apple a proper noun by capitalizing it you could be infringing upon Apple copyright in due time since you didn't get authorization to use their image or reputation to reflect yourself. I'm only half kidding here... other companies have done it for crazy reasons.

I really doubt they will extradite him after all the hoopla they made. Getting the File servers back though I also don't see happening.

If I were Kim and courts temporarily rule (for now) that MegaUpload can come back up I'd urge my customers to retrieve EVERYTHING and share it out via torrents and all other means possible, and perhaps even shoot a friendly message over to the MPAA showing the wonderful influence they just put on everyone to do so. You know why? Not to be pirating butt-wipes, but to retaliate and show MPAA who's king in the industry; the customers/listeners/viewers, not them. Not saying this in any defense of piracy, more so in defense of MegaUpload users' rights. Would just love to see MPAA's face when they're bombarded with messages saying "Hey, check out what we did with our MegaUpload data. wink.gif"

More propaganda...Like we really need more...

Bottom line, copyright infringement is illegal. Period.

Dotcom outside of the copyright laws, is guilty of multiple OTHER charges...We're not just discussing the MPAA here, he is legitimately guilty of racketeering...

Stealing is stealing unless you create a new definition that's accepted in the Oxford/Webster dictionaries.

I really don't understand disconnect here.

Megaupload has a tremendous amount of OTHER content outside of the MPAA's reign, some of it being equally as illegal...If it is legitimate, then those legitimate users that can prove they were using it legally and sue the crap out of Dotcom...He's with-holding the legitimate users by allowing illegal content on the site...

I'm made it well-known my younger brother works for a child company of MPAA...

He's one of the absolute biggest reasons Hollywood has struggled in the past 10 or so years, yet with his promotion of piracy, he was able to live the "good life" without an ounce of talent (not a lawyer, athlete, or actor/actress). His kids have his genes, thus I doubt I'll spend a minute thinking about them...he deserves life in prison IMO.

Didn't he say that the DMCA protects him from bring responsible for the actions of third parties using Mega illegally.

And at anAppleADay, please stop. You're hurting me badly, and LIFE IN PRISON for doing what he did is insane.

We all give our opinions. His isn't an opinion; it came directly from the MPAA in meetings with my bro's management group. Good job, good effort though...rolleyes.gif

i hope they asked a juge autorisation before proceeding ,because if not.it might happen this time they win ,but i bet afterward the justice depatertement will block all initiative going in those direction!
if they didnt ask juge autorisation ,they literally showed by their action !never mind the juge!it would mean either all the jutice system is corrupted or they couldnt care less!in both case it is a complete lack of respect for all those working everywhere in the justice departement !all for what?to try to catch somebody that they have yet to prove he downloaded movie on the web?they have yet to prove it is him did everything?justice sat on a similar case and the juer lost!because having a neutral website is not illigal!he doesnt know what people do with it!ask ms for fun what is on skydrive!i bet they dont know!you dont have a juge permission?good luck accessing skydrive info?it is there also to protect legitimate protected info!with these stupidity .intel say use skydrive to save their info .miaa go in and take all data .
oh its protected by miaa or so miaa say ,juge didnt see those file .he see them its a new us military weapon for usa that isnt supposed to be public .these people just unmade everything that kept it secret ,there is a reason the system ask justice for permission:lot of sensitive data and most often only justice have access to these info,if they sidestep the juge they literally put our system in danger!or worst kill the coming era that would be coming (cloud computing!)all for what?for yet to be proven wrong?

you are innocent until proven guilty last i checked

in kim.com case?he is guilty till proven innocent!this is plain wrong!who is being laughted at in all this?justice ,and juge!
