For me it was, no problems at all.

That stinks.

No, at least not for BF3 which created a major fps loss in both single and dual card configs.

Nice job TSM on your comparison. Kudos to AMD and sweet drivers for their 7000 series line finally. thumb.gif

The only bench that truly surprised me was 3DMark11 where Nvidia has done great vs AMD even taking top 12 spots in the SLI / Crossfire section on OCN currently. I guess those numbers will be changing as AMD owners re-bench and take those spots away. We'll have to wait and see. wink.gif

Edited to add: Personally the 310.33 BETA drivers are where you want to be at if your running Windows 8 btw.

Maybe you weren't stable to begin with? I didn't have one issue with this driver. I simply ran the install, chose default settings, and it finished. It worked seamlessly. Hell, it did a 11.5K in 3d11, almost 12K in gpu score. The heaven score puts this 680 at the top of the 680 submissions in the Top 30 Heaven competition.

Wow I don't know what to think now. I was happy with my 680 until I saw this haha. I can still send it back to Amazon and replace it with a 7970 but I'm debating if it's worth the hassel. This thread has really got me thinking.

Personally I dont think its worth the trouble, nvidias drivers while not having a performance driver atm still have far less problems. I have been back and forth between these 2 camps for many years and just find Nvidia more user friendly. Thats just my 2 cents.

No need to send it back because AMD is on top with their current drivers. Drivers change and the playing field goes back and forth for top spot. I wouldn't give it much weight. Nvidia driver history is a very solid one. Personally I'd rather keep my 680 & 690 regardless.

up to you buddy, pesonally i'd get a 7950 and overclock that to it's maximum which can hit 680 territory, it already beats the 670 which the 670 is 10% mostly slower than a 680 generally. the 7000 series oc ability scales very nicely compared to thier competative counter part smile.gif

Thanks guys, I may just keep it. So hard to do when I see the 7970 getting 69 fps in sleeping dogs compared to 680's 54. Gotta keep this card for 2-3 years so I'm really debating.

Damn, I should have gone AMD. Oh well maybe I'll go AMD when I upgrade in the next 2-3 yrs or so.
