Xbox Live Free Membership?

I am going to be getting an xbox at Christmas but until then I am going to be borrowing my brothers. Is there a way to make an account and 7-days free or even a month? I don't have anymore of the free gold cards and even if I did I'm sure they would be expired. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay good, I wasn't sure if that was still available or not. I don't get paid till next week but I would like to make an account so I don't waste time on my brothers and I don't even think his is active.

I know that back in the day some games would give free 7 days or 1 month subscriptions but I think they stopped doing that awhile back.

IDK if they still do it, but when you get a brand new xbox, the first 6 or so accounts you make on it get free 1 month xbox live.

I think they stopped handing out free 1 month codes for security reasons, I had a friend who was at wallmart and they had boxes sitting out where they had 1 month xbox live codes on them that they were giving out to game buyers, and he took the whole box.

p.s. I am not condoning this, and i think you can only use 10 1 month codes on an xbox live account, after that I think it forces you to buy 3 months or 1 year codes.

You can't get free live subscriptions, however as you said, creating new accounts you can.

In fact, are you still not a gold member?
If not - I got a 14 day free trial with my halo 4 disk, that I can't use - so if you want it, let me know (helping a brother out)
