nah, but its a realtek and i've read they don't handle the load of games when there are many players on the map well. Figured I would try an intel maybe, but I'm interested to know if there are any that use a processor as opposed to being software based.
I don't know where you read that, but it's not true. When playing games with many players, you don't connect to each player. You only connect to the server, thus only use one connection.
I've been using onboard NICs for years and have had no problems, even torrenting with hundreds of connections without any issue.
Your NIC won't hold you back, your ISP will.
Unless your current NIC is giving you issues, I wouldn't bother replacing it.
