I'm looking to buy a new pair of good quality headphones in about a week and I was wondering what to get.

I considered the XB-700s after hearing the 500s, but I'm not sure about them. I think I might like something like Sennheiser or Beyer Dynamics. thumb.gif

XB700 and SR225i? Yay, "blind" headphone recommendations.

OP, what kind of music do you listen to? What sources will you use for the headphones? Computer? Stereo? Sound card?

I'm getting an Asus Pheobus soundcard and overall I listen to almost everything, but I don't want a pair with overpowering bass. Right now it's just ALC 892 audio from my board. thumb.gif

People recommend these a lot but I have never owned/heard it so I cant comment on sound quality: Beyerdynamic dt770

I do have the ath a900x and AKG K550. I like the ath a900x a lot.
