Server RAM question

So, I got my hands on some cheap memory.

I am having trouble actually finding a good server mobo that this RAM will work in. The big difference is that this is Registered instead of Unregistered. From what I know, this is mainly used for mobo's with more than one CPU. Does that mean this RAM won't post in anything that is only 1P? I did try to stick it in a Lenovo TS430 that I have, and it would not post frown.gif

But, long story short, I have 250 bucks worth of RAM that doesn't post in any of my machines and I am about to build a new server and want a mobo that it will work in.

I already have the RAM, i am in need of a mobo. I will be using it as a terminal server for about 12 thin clients.

Should work fine with 1 cpu, as long as the mobo supports registered memory.
Could possibly be brand specific `equivalents` ie for IBM or HP or DELL
Hardware build HP servers every day at my work but have not tried IBM sticks in a HP, maybe I will give it a go..I would ONLY send out kit that is HP in a HP server tho, it can mess with your warranty

That's the RAM I use in my sig rig, but it's dual socket. I don't think that matters, though.
