[ValueWalk] Apple Inc. (AAPL) Plunges Due To Cook’s New Management Team - Page 2

I remember reading predictions last year about APPL hitting $1000. Might be a while...

Honestly does all news about Apple need to be sensationalistic?

The management changes were announced over the weekend, on Friday stocks were lower at one point than at the time this article was written...

The article does mention though that the stock market was closed Monday and Tuesday due to the hurricane, so the "plunge" isn't so noticeable right now. Many New York investors are likely off dealing with the storm and may have affected how minimal or major the change in share prices was this soon after the storm. Only time will tell. I think it'll drop another dozen or so bucks by the weekend.

Methinks this is a slightly bigger deal. Apple more or less relies on brand loyalty with their smartphone sales.

If Apple stock goes down $10 suddenly everyone starts to talk about the "down fall", it's not really a big deal, Apple shares going down $10 is the same as Microsoft shares going down $0.50 cents.

(Here is how the math works. Apple stock is about $600, Microsoft Stock is about $30 so 600/30=20 so if Microsoft goes down $0.50 if you owned $600 of Microsoft (The same amount as one Apple share) you would lose $10

This is probably because Apple just banned Blu-Ray.

Basically what I am saying is what are you seeing that they need to upgrade after only a week or two in the next few months?

I think you misunderstood me. I'm saying that they are done launching products until the next iPad, which is 5 months down the road. If you look at the year to date you can see that the stock rises every time they launch something new, which they won't be doing for awhile.

TL;DR People buy Apple stock when new things are released, and nothing is launching until next March.
